133Km Running Mileage in the Month
A reflection on endurance, consistency, and what the road teaches.
When you’ve never run 100 km in a month, the number feels impossible. But once I actually tried, I realized we often underestimate ourselves. I ended up running 133 km, and it changed how I look at limits.
Running in Gurgaon during August is no joke — it’s either humid or raining. To get through it, you need more than just a plan. You need consistency, recovery, and discipline.
When you push your body to extremes, one factor matters more than anything else: willpower. At that level, it’s never just a one-hour or two-hour game — it’s a 24-hour commitment. You have to stay disciplined so your body can recover and let you repeat the effort again. Otherwise, it simply won’t allow you.
I still remember my first 10 km run — my body ached so much, and I was completely drained the entire day. But that’s the beauty of the human body: it learns, it adapts. Now, 10 km feels easy, and even after running a 21 km circuit, I can still carry on with my regular routine.
